Young Aspiring Filmmaker (YAF) Internship
YAF Summer Internship Program

FFTF is seeking candidates for our 2017 Young Aspiring Filmmaker (YAF) Summer Internship Program.  The Program starts in July and ends in late August 2017. While our summer program is free, candidates are selected on a competitive basis.

The candidates selected will work with a team of FFTF producers, film advisors and other student volunteers across a variety of film projects for our 2017 Summer Film Program.  Once completed, the films will be submitted to local and national film festivals.  All internships are non-paid. However, the selected candidates may receive non-cash awards that include local film festival and workshop participation.

The 6-week volunteer internship provides opportunities for young filmmakers to work with industry professionals and educators to learn all aspects of filmmaking and sharpen their skills as film directors, cinematographers, editors, gaffers, grips, boom operators, costume designers, prop masters, screenwriters, and production assistants. At the end of the summer program, the selected candidates will also have a completed film to add to their portfolio and resume.
